The University of Wales Press announces a new interdisciplinary journal, The Journal of Religious History, Literature and Culture, launching in 2015. The journal, which is in succession to the The Welsh Journal of Religious History and Trivium, will publish articles on all aspects of the history, literature and culture of religions in all parts of the world making it an indispensable and unique addition to scholarly work in the field.

The journal will be published in English, to appear twice-yearly, with one regular issue and one themed special issue. The journal aims to provide coverage of those aspects of religious culture which illuminate and exemplify religious practice and ideas. The editors have consciously sought to adopt wide parameters for its interests: the history, literature and culture of religion. These parameters are not confined to any one period or to Wales or Christianity and it is hoped that in the coming issues the journal will encompass the breadth of its title.

The editorial conception of religious history, literature and culture is broad, to include aspects of art and architecture, material culture, the history of all periods and literatures in many divergent forms, engaging religion comprehensively to include all religious expressions. The journal will also include book reviews.

The journal will be fully peer-reviewed and will be available in print and online (via Ingenta).

The first issue of The Journal of Religious History, Literature and Culture will appear in Summer 2015, with a special edition to follow in Autumn 2015.
