Peter W. Trinder

Peter Trinder was educated at Daventry Grammar School, Northamptonshire, and at Exeter College, Oxford, where he studied with Nevill Coghill and Jonathan Wordsworth. He has been teaching English at various schools in North Wales for twenty years as well as lecturing for the University College of North Wales, Bangor. His interest in Mrs Hemans was stimulated by the common link between Daventry and Clwyd, and the present essay owes much to the interest shown by the WEA class of Mancot.
