Queer and Trans Intersections

Queer and Trans Intersections, from the University of Wales Press, aims to address subjects and themes important to LGBTQIA+ peoples around the world by exploring the changing landscape of queer and trans identity and politics across a range of subjects such as queer and trans art, music, film, literature, etc. The series seeks to capture debates around inclusivity and exclusivity, new queer and trans trajectories, and emerging queer and trans issues caused by neoliberalism. As such it will offer truly intersectional, interdisciplinary and global approaches to sexual and gender diversity in the past, present and future. There will be a particular focus on global regions that are often ignored. The strategy for the series is to make timely, scholarly interventions into this important, interdisciplinary field of research with ground-breaking monographs and edited volumes. Aligning with the series’ philosophy of promoting diversity and inclusivity, proposals are encouraged from scholars at all career stages, and also independent scholars, from a broad cross section of groups, including marginalised and under-represented groups.

Possible topics include but are not limited to: •Queer and Trans issues in the Global South •Queer and Trans Diasporas •Queer and Trans Indigeneity •Queer and Trans Ecologies •Queer and Trans Disabilities •Queer and Trans Fantastic in the Arts •Queer and Trans Decoloniality •Queer and Trans Medicine
