Studies in Romance, Power, and Desire

The Studies in Romance, Power, and Desire provides a space for ground-breaking and challenging work which interrogates global and diverse theoretical, textual, and social debates from the medieval period to the present day. This series challenges and expands scholarship on representations of love, sexuality, and desire as well as abuses of power. It explores theories of and writing centred on LGTBQI+, race, disability studies, and the changing nature of masculinity, as well as reconsidering old debates and forging new ones around narratives of femininity and feminism. The series is therefore dedicated to publishing pioneering research that benefits many fields, including literature, history, media, medical humanities, performance, and other textual and theoretical disciplines
